Children’s Ministry At-Home Faith Formation

Each week during our Beatitudes series, WHCC Children’s Ministry will send home a Family Page and a coloring page. These resources are designed to help families engage with the teachings and themes of the Beatitudes in meaningful and creative ways. The Family Page serves as a versatile tool for faith formation at home.

It includes a thought-provoking central question to encourage family discussion, a brief summary of the week's theme with a practical activity for families to do together, a simplified version of the Beatitudes Reflection from the Leader Guide to deepen understanding, and a family prayer to close their time together. By combining the Family Page with the coloring page, families can reflect, create, and grow in faith together. Be sure to check your child’s take-home materials each week to make the most of these engaging resources.

Caring for Caregivers

n partnership with FaithLife Church (formerly known as St. Mark’s Lutheran Church) Wellington Heights Community Church is thrilled to offer another round of freezer meals as a way to extend care to caregivers in our community!

In September our pastoral team shared that the U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, M.D. released an advisory on the mental health and well-being of parents. The advisory highlights stressors that impact parents and caregivers, links between parental mental health and children's long-term well-being and the need to better support parents, caregivers and families. Read the report here.

Parenting is sacred work.  And caregivers, need care too!

Sign-up to receive a freezer meal dropped off to your home in October by emailing Ashley at office@wellingtonheightscommunitychurch.org

May we continue to support one another in prayer and practical support in the sacred work of caregiving!

Presence & Proximity

Check out the latest issue of Fuller Seminary Magazine, where Pastor Keeyon was featured. Check it out here.

"It’s Keeyon’s prayer that amidst the shifting spiritual landscape we find ourselves in, in each of our distinct contexts inside and outside the church walls, we remain open to what the Holy Spirit is doing—even and especially when religion doesn’t look the way it once did. And as the church follows the Spirit into this new horizon, he knows that chaplains will have a faithful role to play, ministering through faithful presence to those around us."
