Flourishing Neighborhood Index

Flourishing Neighborhood Index (FNI) Updates

We identified three key priority areas when we launched the Activation phase for FNI: Community Gathering Spaces, Lighting and Sidewalks, and Access to Food Resources. Since the last update, Coe College students have completed a capstone project to assist with Community Gathering Spaces. See the full report in an upcoming newsletter.

In the meantime, two projects are getting underway this summer.

  • Chain Reaction Bike Hub will be hosting monthly mobile safety workshops (Air in tires, Brakes, Chains). Future plans include a neighborhood bike ride!

  • Wellington Heights Neighborhood Association is taking the lead on a multi-year lamppost project to enhance street lighting, beautification, and character.

There is still opportunity for volunteers - Wellington Heights neighbors, WHCC friends and families, and YOU!

Please contact Anne Harris Carter at carter.ahc@gmail.com to discuss your questions and interests.
