At Wellington Heights Community Church, we believe holistic spiritual formation invites us—individually and communally—to connect with God, ourselves, others, and all of creation in diverse ways. Guided by the Spirit and God’s invitation to “do a new thing” (Isaiah 43:19), we embrace the practice of Embodiment Sunday.
Embodiment Sunday creates space to reflect inwardly and engage outwardly within the support of our community. Rooted in our long-standing practice of both traditional and non-traditional gatherings, these Sundays affirm that God meets us through a multiplicity of practices and expressions as we create space for rest, connection, and the embodiment of a spiritual practice. Subscribe to our digital newsletter to receive Embodiment Sunday Guides to embody as we gather separate yet together in Spirit.
Rest
We receive the gift of rest and intentionally practice pausing from our culture’s relentless pace as an act of holy resistance.
Connect
We open ourselves to connection with God, self, others, and all of creation—cultivating belonging, mutuality, solidarity, and shared responsibility.
Embody
We integrate spiritual rhythms and practices into daily life in ways that are sustainable and sustaining.
